Fred has worked at Creative Commons, Kickstarter, and Y Combinator in a range of capacities varying from VP of Data to Admissions to Outreach. He is currently working as the CEO and founder of Breadwinner, an IoT device designed to help bakers monitor their sourdough starters. When he’s not getting excited about yeast, he can be found sourcing angel investments and advising early stage startups and employees. Fred has written for The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Times, Bookforum, WIRED and 2600 and is on the board of Rhizome.org.
